An incredible historic maze, but prepare to bargain hard!
"The Grand Bazaar is absolutely massive, chaotic, and filled with incredible energy. Walking through its covered streets feels like stepping back in time. You can find everything here, from beautiful Turkish ceramics and lanterns to spices, leather, and jewelry. It is completely free to enter, making it a perfect spot to experience authentic local trading culture. Always Haggle: Never accept the first price a shopkeeper quotes. Bargaining is expected here. Start by offering around 40-50% less than their initial price and negotiate from there.Get Lost Safely: The bazaar is a huge labyrinth with over 60 streets, and you will get lost. Don't panic, just enjoy the walk and look for the 'Çıkış' (Exit) signs when you want to leave.Watch Your Bags: Because the main alleys get extremely crowded, pickpocketing can happen. Keep your backpack on your front and stay aware of your surroundings.Sunday Closure: Plan your itinerary carefully. The entire Grand Bazaar is completely closed on Sundays. It is loud and overwhelming, but it's an iconic Istanbul shopping experience you cannot miss!"
