What happened?
We booked a popular ATV sunset tour in Göreme through an Instagram ad for €25. It seemed like a great deal. However, when we arrived at the starting point, the operator forced us to sign a contract in Turkish. They told us that if we didn't pay an extra €10 for 'mandatory vehicle insurance,' we would be liable for up to €2000 in case of a tiny scratch. It was completely mandatory but hidden until the last second. Many tourists in our group were furious but paid because we were already there.
