About this place
Delmece Plateau is a scenic highland area in the Teşvikiye region of Çınarcık, Yalova, where open clearings meet extensive woodland. As the road climbs inland from Teşvikiye, forests of pine, oak, chestnut and linden trees create a refreshing natural setting away from the busy Marmara coastline. Covering approximately 400 dönüms, the plateau is a popular area for enjoying the outdoors and exploring the surrounding landscape on foot. Nearby natural attractions include the Erikli waterfall routes, Dipsiz Lake and a spring locally known as Şifalı Su. Together, these places make Delmece Plateau a useful starting point for discovering the forests and highland scenery of inland Yalova. Access is via Teşvikiye. Check weather forecasts and road conditions before travelling, as conditions can change in the higher elevations. Wear suitable walking shoes, bring clothing for cooler weather and take all rubbish with you. Always follow local restrictions on fires to help protect the surrounding woodland.
