Plan your visit
Çorum is the principal gateway to Hattuşa, the former Hittite capital, and the sanctuary of Yazılıkaya. The province is an essential stop for travelers interested in Bronze Age Anatolia.
April to June and September to October are best for exposed archaeological areas. Summers can be hot and winters cold.
A car, driver or organised tour is the easiest option because Hattuşa, Yazılıkaya and Alacahöyük are outside the city.
Travel conditions and opening arrangements can change. Check current information before your visit.
