Adana combines the fertile Çukurova plain, the Seyhan River, lively street culture and one of Türkiye's most recognisable regional cuisines. The city works especially well for travelers interested in food, everyday urban life and excursions toward the Taurus Mountains.
Spring and autumn usually provide the most comfortable conditions. Summers are very hot, so outdoor sightseeing is easier early in the morning or toward sunset.
The central sights can be combined by walking, municipal buses and the metro. A car is useful for canyons, mountain areas and attractions outside the urban center.
