Yes, Turkey is generally safe for solo travelers. Popular destinations such as Istanbul, Antalya, Cappadocia and İzmir receive millions of visitors, and travelling between them is fairly easy. Turkish people are usually friendly and willing to help if you need directions or advice. As in any European tourist destination, keep an eye on your belongings, avoid deserted streets late at night and be cautious with strangers who are overly persistent. With normal precautions, travelling alone in Turkey can be a safe and enjoyable experience.

I traveled around Türkiye alone and felt really safe throughout my trip. The people were very friendly and helpful; of course, like in any country, things like theft can happen, but I felt very comfortable and almost like I was on holiday in my own country.
