Hiking alone in Cappadocia — easy to follow the paths?

I’d rather spend a day walking around the valleys than join another tour. Anyone done the walks around Göreme on their own? I’m fine walking for a few hours, just wondering if the paths are obvious or if I’ll spend half the day checking my phone.

did a balloon ride in Cappadocia. It was definitely a major highlight of my trip, as was the hiking around the area. Don't miss it because you're traveling by yourself. There are lots of tourists in Cappadocia so it's pretty easy to meet people. Also, make sure to visit Ephesus if you end up in Izmir.
